Welcome to Moddershall CC's website.
Founded in 1922/3 in the village of Moddershall, the Club has progressed steadily, moving to its present home, Barnfields in 1961, and the purchase of the second ground, Wrekin View coming in 1994.
Further refurbishment to the grounds and pavilions has taken place over the last 2 years, with the help of an ECB Club Community Development Fund particularly for the showers and toilet facilities in the Wrekin View pavilion.
Moddershall C.C. has always had a tradtion of junior cricket, preferring to nurture its own homegrown talent to sustain its success in the Premier Division of the North Staffs. & South Cheshire League. In 2006 the Club had 9 players representing Staffordshire at all age levels from Under 10's to Under 17's and Girls.
Moddershall C.C.are a Clubmark registered club. Clubmark accreditation is a Sport England initiative to raise standards in sports clubs in terms of duty of care and safety, quality of coaching and competition, fairness of opportunity and Club management. It give parents the confidence to recognise that Moddershall C.C. is committed to providing a quality experience.
Moddershall C.C. has coaching evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Seniors plus Fridays for it's Academy Juniors. In 2007 Moddershall C.C. became the first Club to have four senior sides in the Premier League in the area, namely the North Staffs. & South Cheshire League. We now have a 'First' XI in Division One, Moddershall 'A' XI in Division 3 and their respective 2nd XI's in Division 1B and Division 3B respectively. The Club also participates in the Kidsgrove & Junior Cricket League, the South Moorlands Junior Cricket League, The Stone & District Charity Cup Competion and The Andrew Knighton Memorial Cup Competition.
